The Repair Shop expert admits ‘wish I knew sooner’ as he shares show regret
Dom says he wish he knew about storing his tools
The Repair Shop’s Dominic Chinea has opened up about what it’s like filming for the BBC series as the show’s metal expert.
Speaking on the programme’s official Instagram account, Dominic shared what he wished he’d known sooner about his tools.
Speaking about his regret, the expert began: “One thing I wish I knew when I first started all of this is how important tool storage is.
“I used to get my old tools and spanners and sockets from boot sales and wherever I could.
“And I would keep them in a bucket in the shed and I could never find the one that I want.”

He continued: “And that 10 mil socket is always the one that goes missing, it’s so annoying.
“The best thing is to just invest in a decent toolbox and look after your tools, clean them, and put them back away.
“So when you need them, you know exactly where they are. That is something I wish I knew sooner.”
