‘The Blacklist’ Season 6 Trailer: New Shades Of Red In Two-Night Premiere
The riddle of Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader) is the central question for NBC’s The Blacklist as it returns for Season 6 and the just-released trailer suggests that the master manipulator of the underworld may be behind bars for a while.
Season 6 kicks off with a two-part special that airs on back-to-back nights with a 10 pm episode on Jan. 3 and then a 9pm episode on Jan. 4. After Reddington’s arrest as a federal fugitive he’s headed both to court (giving Spader a Boston Legal revival moment: “Shouldn’t judges at least pretend to be impartial?”) and into federal custody (presenting at least the possibility that Red in Orange is the New Blacklist could be an episode title).
For Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) the identity mystery surrounding the man assumed to be her father has her questioning everything. Liz and Red engage in an uneasy cat-and-mouse game in which lines will be crossed and the truth will be revealed.
The Blacklist also stars Diego Klattenhoff, Amir Arison, Mozhan Marnò, Hisham Tawfiq and Harry Lennix. The executive producers are John Eisendrath, Jon Bokenkamp, John Davis, John Fox, James Spader, Lukas Reiter, J.R. Orci, Carla Kettner and Laura A. Benson. The Blacklist is a production of Davis Entertainment in association with Sony Pictures Television and Universal Television.
