The Apprentice star says TV crew tried to catch him naked so he slept in a suit

Joseph Valente has revealed how he wound up The Apprentice producers while on the show.

The 2015 series winner revealed he slept in a suit to avoid camera crews from catching him naked.

Joseph, 33, exclusively told us: "I slept in a suit – well I didn't actually sleep in it… I actually got up and set my alarm for 4am, then got up and had a shower and got in my suit, and then got back to bed for the film crew to arrive at 4:30am.

"Yeah I didn't sleep in it, can you imagine being in a boardroom with Lord Sugar after sleeping in your suit for eight hours?" he laughed.

He explained why he did this and said: "Because they were trying to get you running around in your boxers.

"The first night they burst in the door at 2am with five cameras in your face, everyone running around like crazy, your hair is not done, you're in your pants…

"I'm a massive appearance person and I need to look good so."

Talking further about this on his Instagram, Joseph said: "There was a time I slept in a suit but that was on The Apprentice. They tried to catch me getting out of bed naked so I thought screw this I'm doing it anyway and it really wound them up.

"They said 'you're ruining the show, you're already dressed.' And I'm like 'well I'm gonna be so tough s***.'"

The businessman also revealed he is planning to replace Lord Sugar with his own show.

Joseph shared: "The way I see it is The Apprentice is starting to die down and it's not as popular as it once was.

"Although it is an amazing show and it's legendary, it's time for a new concept.

"There are only two business TV shows Dragon's Sen and The Apprentice.

"Now Dragon's Den had a burst of new life because of Steven Bartlett – he's brought the show to the younger generation.

"It was an old BBC 2 show on a Sunday night and now he's on it its young and fresh.

"I want to make business TV exciting again."

Joseph added: "I think it's inevitable there is always a young lion coming to take the older lion's, Lord Sugar's, place that's just the law of the jungle."
