Terrifying showdown in Corrie as acid attacker Justin gets Daisy alone

Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) fears for her life once more in Coronation Street as her stalker, Justin (Andrew Still) manages to get her alone.

The ordeal will come before Justin targets Daisy in an acid attack, a horrifying part of the storyline that will happen next month.

Coronation Street has sought guidance from Women’s Aid when researching the upcoming story, and is also working with The Suzy Lamplugh Trust, a charity that supports victims of stalking.

‘We were really delighted to be invited to feed into this storyline on such an amazingly well-known programme,’ Saskia Garner, Head of Policy and Campaigns for the trust told us.

‘We know from our research that at the point of rejection where one party, normally the stalker, realises and takes on board the fact that the other person isn’t going to partake in the relationship they want, it can be a real trigger for an escalation in violence and aggression towards the victim because they realise, they’ve lost control.

Prior to this, Daisy is focused on her upcoming wedding with Daniel (Rob Mallard), but starts to wonder if Justin has found out the date – so she calls the venue and reschedules.

Later on, the owner of the boutique calls at the pub and tells Daisy that they’ve had a call from Justin, accusing her of assault and they’re no longer prepared to lend her a dress as the publicity could damage their reputation.

After an argument with Daniel about the situation, Daisy returns home and hears the doorbell go.

Checking the app on her phone, Daisy is horrified to see it’s Justin.

Ordering him to clear off, Daisy returns to the living room – but finds Justin standing there.
