Tensions rise in Big Brother as huge rule break leaves housemates fuming

Tensions continue to rise in the Big Brother house after it's revealed two housemates have broken house rules in Thursday's episode of the ITV2 show.

Housemates are asked to gather in the lounge as Big Brother reveals Hallie and Olivia have being caught talking about nominations – which is completely forbidden in the house.

Housemates are told: "This is Big Brother. Before you entered the house, the Big Brother rules were explained to you. The rules state that you may not attempt to communicate in code or write in messages. Yesterday this rule was broken by Hallie and Olivia.”

Big Brother then reveals: “Olivia, you said to Hallie, ‘write me secret messages on my back’.”

Recalling what happened, Big Brother continues: "Hallie you wrote on Olivia’s back. Olivia you relayed this out loud and said ‘is a gameplayer’. Later on Hallie, you wrote another message on Olivia’s back, as you did so, Olivia you said the letters out loud ‘N’ and ‘O’.”

Olivia and Hallie's fellow housemates are taken aback by the announcement, with many presuming they were talking about Noky.

Big Brother then asks: “Hallie, stand up. Is there anything you would like to say?” and as Hallie begins to address her housemates, Noky adds: “To Noky?”

Hallie is left confused by Noky's answer, and proceeds to clarify what was said in the secret messages she exchanged with Olivia.

“Do you want me to say what was written? I said Zak was a gameplayer and I said I think Matty nominated me. It was nothing about Noky," Hallie states.

It's yet to be revealed what the consequences will be for Hallie and Olivia's rule break, but in the past Big Brother has been harsh with punishments for housemates who have broken rules, especially when talking about nominations.

The nomination process saw tensions rise in the house in Wednesday's episode, with each housemate having to pick two people to nominate for the public vote.

While many housemates received nominations, the final result meant Zak and Henry will be facing the public in this week's second live eviction. Zak received five nominations from Hallie, Kerry, Chanelle, Jenkin and Henry, while Henry received four nominations from Dylan, Olivia, Noky and Jenkin.

Zak appeared to brush off being nominated, while Henry headed to the Diary Room and became emotional as he spoke about the possibility of exiting the Big Brother house.
