Susanna Reid fuels rumours she’s got a secret boyfriend after revealing she’s planning her own wedding

SUSANNA Reid has continued to fuel her secret boyfriend rumours after admitting the Royal Wedding has encouraged her to plan her own nuptials.

The 47-year-old journalist previously ruled out remarrying after divorcing ex-husband Dominic Cotton in 2014, but it appears Saturday's fairy tale ceremony has made her reconsider.

Tweeting after Harry and Meghan tied the knot in Windsor, Susanna told her fans: "I may have just been converted to weddings…."

Then, after Good Morning Britain co-host Piers Morgan blasted her for defending David Beckham chewing gum at the wedding, she posted: "As I plan my wedding, I'd like to point out that you are welcome to chew gum."

For all their flirtatious banter, that was a step too far for Piers and he ruled himself out of being the groom, writing: "Well that rules me out as groom then. Sorry."

Earlier this month Susanna hinted that she has a secret boyfriend, leaving Piers shocked.

The pair were discussing Gabby Allen and Marcel Somerville being the latest Love Island couple to split, when Piers suggested that Susanna join the villa this summer.

Piers ranted: “Who would have thought that a bunch of stupid dimwits on a Love Island where they’re trying to have sex with each other all day long with multiple partners, who would have thought that they wouldn’t have long, lasting relationships?”

Then, turning to Susanna, he asked: “Why don’t you do it?”

“Shall I?” she asked.

Piers continued: “Well you love it, you’ll be very popular, you’re single…”

“How do you know I’m single?” said Susanna sitting in front of the game Connect Four following a segment about how Kanye West played it during his daughter's birth.

Clearly intrigued, Piers responded: “'How do you know I’m single?' Can we connect the dots here?”

To which Susanna simply laughed and refused to divulge any more details.
