STRICTLY star Amy Dowden has shared a heartfelt post from hospital as she begins her cancer treatment.
The pro dancer revealed her breast cancer diagnosis to fans for the first time last month.
The star returned to Instagram on Wednesday with a photo from her hospital bed, and she appeared to be in good spirits, giving the camera two thumbs up.
Brave Amy penned beside her snap: "Step one to beating cancer! Rrrrrrready for this fight and more determined than ever to get back on the dance floor.
"#breastcanceryoung #checkyourchest #checkyourlemons #letsdothis #breastcancerawareness🎀 #cancer"
Following her, fans have sent Amy well wishes on social media.

The BBC star, 32, revealed in May she had been diagnosed with an aggressive grade of breast cancer.

Amy found a lump the day before heading on her honeymoon to the Maldives, and was later told to "prepare for the worst".
Sadly she has a history of cancer in her family, telling Hello! Magazine: “My Mum had thyroid cancer and breast cancer when I was younger, and it was tough to watch her go through it.
“It’s important to remember the effect cancer has on the whole family – it can be just as difficult watching your loved one go through it, and that can take a toll on everyone’s health.”
Although she's been told she has grade three cancer, it's not known at what stage it is at.
She now has to wait for an MRI and biopsy before discovering her treatment plan. It will definitely include surgery, she's been told.
Amy has also bravely spoken out about her life battle with Crohn's.
