Strictly’s Amanda Abbington warned ‘to expect tears’ from Giovanni Pernice
Strictly: Amanda Abbington ‘over the moon’ with her partner
Strictly Come Dancing star Amanda Abbington has been warned to expect tears from partner Giovanni Pernice due to the fact that their star signs are polar opposites.
Sherlock star Amanda couldn’t contain her excitement when Giovanni was revealed as her partner on Saturday night’s opening show.
However, astrologer Inbaal Honigman, who analysed the star signs of the couples on behalf of Spin Genie, thinks that theirs could be a tempestuous pairing.
Amanda is a Pisces and Giovanni is a Virgo and Inbaal says that this means their partnership could go either way.
“Polarity in astrology is a very interesting concept, where two perfectly opposite signs can be a fabulous match as they complete each other.

“Pisces and Virgo are polar opposites – Amanda will be romantic, emotional and creative, whereas Giovanni will be specific, mature and strict.
“With a bit of humour, they could gel well together, but expect some tears from the sensitive Pisces,” Inbaal warned.
Although none of the couples have yet danced for the public vote Amanda and Giovanni have already been tipped as possible winners by fellow contestant Ellie Leach.
The Faye Windass actress, 22, named the Sherlock star as her biggest competition when probed on who she will have to beat when the BBC dance show kicks off.
The Bury-born star proclaimed: “Amanda is a dark horse. I know it for a fact.
“I was watching [rehearsals for the group dance], and I was like, ‘Oh my God, you’re so good’.”

Mum of two Amanda, 51, is a seasoned star of both stage and screen with a career spanning more than 30 years who is best known for playing Josie Mardle in Mr Selfridge and Mary Morstan, the wife of John Watson, in Sherlock.
In spite of Ellie naming her as one to beat this year, Amanda thinks it will be a tough competition as her rival celebrities are “really strong”.
“There’s loads of really good dancers in there. I think both Angela’s (Rippon and Scanlon) are really strong!,” she said. “And everybody’s got like a lovely kind of, special thing, a little spark. But I think Layton (Williams) is the one to watch… He is amazing.”
As for how she is preparing for the ballroom, Amanda says her daredevil fiancé, Britain’s Got Talent’s Jonathan Goodwin, has been putting her “through her paces” revealing “I’ve set up an ice bath outside, I did it once the other day and hated it and won’t ever go in it again!”
Strictly Come Dancing returns next Saturday, September 23, at 6.15pm on BBC One. Astrologer Inbaal Honigman analysed the star signs of the couples on behalf of www.spingenie.com.
