Stacey Dooley ‘secretly not asked to return to BBC’ over beauty advert deal
Stacey Dooley has been hit with claims that she was secretly sacked from her presenting role on BBC Glow Up.
The TV regular announced she was leaving the show earlier this year but now reports allege the decision was actually taken out of her hands.
Insiders have said BBC bosses were left enraged after she teamed up with beauty brand Glow Up against the corporation's guidelines.
BBC rules say that any of their employees should not appear in adverts which "mimic or replicate their on-air roles for the BBC".
In the clip Stacey can be seen rocking tight leotard as she showed off her moves in a dancing studio – reminiscent of her the on Strictly Come Dancing.
A BBC source told The Sun: "Stacey might have made it sound like she was stepping away from the series of her own volition, but in reality she was not asked to stay because the BBC were furious about Clairol.
"It was a tricky situation as she does other things for the BBC, but they decided she would lose her Glow Up contract.

"It’s a hair care brand, it’s glossy and glam. Glow Up is all about beauty."
They added that the BBC told her she was 'sacked from Glow Up' but allowed her to keep making documentaries.
The BBC declined to comment.
A rep for Stacey Dooley has been contacted by Daily Star Online for comment.
In January Maya Jama was confirmed as the host of series three of of Glow Up: Britain's Next Make Up Stars.
The show follows a group of rising make-up stars as they battle it out to take home the title of Britain's Next Make Up star.
Taking to Twitter at the start of the year, Stacey penned on: "I won't be able to be a part of Glow Up. series 3.
"It was such an utter delight to work alongside Dom [Skinner] and Val [Garland]. Total stars.

"And of course, a real treat to meet the artists, and appreciate their creativity! It's a show v close to my heart, and I wish everyone involved in the next gig, all the love in the world."
The show is set to return later this year.
