Sisters reveal they holiday in Gambia because they 'love Bob Marley and reggae'

A pair of sisters revealed to Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford on Tuesday’s This Morning that they holiday in Gambia because of their love for Bob Marley and reggae.
Jackie Simpson and Julie Ramsey have visited the west-African country 15 times in the last eight years
Explaining to the presenters why she originally chose to go to the destination, dubbed ‘a real-life Tinder dream for geriatrics by Bake Off’s Prue Leith, Jackie said: ‘Well, we’ve been to loads of different countries and I thought I’d try something different and this is different.
‘The reason I wanted to go was because I like reggae music and Bob Marley and it’s just great.’
The sisters also warned that holidaymakers should be cautious of Gambian men because ‘they want to get to England.’
‘The ones I’ve met I’ve just to ld them straight,’ said Jackie. ‘You know, “You’ve got no chance of getting to England.” I’ve had a good relationship with two of them.’
They added that as soon as they got to the airport that young Gambian men would make a fuss over them, saying: ‘I went to have a dress made and the tailor said, “Will you marry me?” I just found it funny.’
This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
