Sarah Beeny gives marriage update after shocking fans by saying it was 'hanging on by its fingernails' | The Sun
SARAH Beeny has shared a marriage update after admitting she and her husband were "hanging on in there by our fingernails" during her cancer battle.
The 51-year-old TV presenter opened up about her relationship with Graham Swift after she beat breast cancer.
While appearing on Tuesday's Lorraine show to discuss her new book The Simple Life: How I Found Home, Sarah was quizzed about her relationship.
She replied: "I did a podcast with someone, and I told a funny joke, which I thought was a funny joke about marriage."
The TV star clarified that her previous remarks of "hanging on by fingernails" was supposed to be humorous with no serious substance to it.
She went on to explain that after making the comment on Gabby Logan's podcast, The Midpoint, she woke the following day to find the joke had been blown out of all proportion.

The property expert also shared that the couple had a conversation and admitted that neither wanted to live apart from their children Billy, 19, Charlie, 17, Rafferty, 15, and Laurie, 13.
