Roxanne Pallet’s TV return branded ‘a disgrace’ before Celebrity Coach Trip airs
The much anticipated return to TV of disgraced former soap star, Roxanne Pallett, is not being welcomed by everyone, with a number of people sharing their displeasure at her comeback, days before it actually happens.
Following her disastrous Celebrity Big Brother appearance, Roxanne deliberately slid off the radar after she become public enemy number one for accusing former Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas of assault.
Next week will see Roxanne return to our screens, when she makes an appearance on E4 reality show Celebrity Coach Trip.
Despite it being filmed before her doomed CBB adventure, there are a number of fans of Celebrity Coach Trip that have kicked off on social media about Roxanne’s controversial return.
The 36-year-old had removed her social media profiles following the controversial ‘punch gate’ scandal on CBB, but might still feel the heat from viewers who are not keen on her return.
Despite Roxanne issuing a public apology after it was proved that she had lied about the incident, there is not a lot of goodwill towards her ahead of her popping up on Celebrity Coach Trip.
Joining the fun with former Britain’s Got Talent winner, George Sampson, it is almost guaranteed that tweets about Roxanne’s return will go through the roof.
Already there has been disgust on Twitter, with E4 being branded "disrgraceful" for her inclusion in the show.
One person tweeted, in relation to George Sampson joining Roxanne: "They are either trying to ruin your ‘career’ or taken on a new psycho client #RoxannePallett @E4tweets #CoachTrip you are disgraceful."
Another was angry, writing: "Honestly why tho??!she nearly wrecked a mans career and who’s to say she’s changed and won’t try it again?theres many ways she could do it on this show and even tho everyone would probably know she was lying,it still ain’t fair. #roxannepallett #celebritycoachtrip"
A third raged: "Disgraceful from @Channel4 allowing Roxanne Pallett back on tv to do coachtrip. She quite clearly tried to ruin an innocent mans career. She should never be seen on tv again after what she tried to do."
It has been a tough time for Roxanne since her public shaming, with reports that she could be turning to a "normal" job, to help make ends meet.
This claim has been slammed by Roxanne’s representatives, who called the story "ridiculous" and "untrue".
Speaking to Digital Spy, they said: "Roxanne chose to turn away from any projects and interviews following last summer so she could take some time out in private."
Her return to TV next could be one of the talking points of a fledgling new year.
