Robert Pattinson Got Locked Inside a Room to Read Christopher Nolan’s ‘Unreal’ New Movie Script

Robert Pattinson knows how to keep a secret.
The British actor, 32, signed on to star in Christopher Nolan’s new movie coming out in summer 2020, but he’s only been allowed to read the script once as to prevent spoilers from leaking.
“I got locked in a room to read the script – I don’t have it myself,” Pattinson, 30, tells USA Today, adding that he’s “sworn to secrecy” about the film’s plot.
Pattinson stars next in High Life, a dramatic thriller about a group of prisoners trapped aboard an ill-fated spaceship where they’re forced to partake in a reproduction experiment hosted by a dishonest doctor. When Pattinson’s character fathers a daughter, it becomes his only reason to live when he’s stranded in space.
After doing a string of less traditional films, Pattinson says he’s been hesitant to do large productions like the ones five-time Oscar nominee Nolan is known for. (Nolan, 48, wrote and directed The Prestige, The Dark Knight, Inception and Dunkirk, to name a few.)
“I’ve been a little wary of doing big movies for years and years, but there’s just something about Chris Nolan’s stuff,” the Twilight star explains to USA Today. “He seems like the only director now who can do what is essentially a very personal, independent movie that has huge scale. I read the script and it’s unreal.”
Elizabeth Debicki and John David Washington, Denzel’s son who broke out in BlacKkKlansman last year, are also set to star alongside Pattinson in the forthcoming untitled Nolan project.
