Patsy Kensit says she ‘swooned’ meeting Phil Mitchell for first time on EastEnders
Patsy Kensit says she 'swooned when she met Phil Mitchell' on EastEnders during her recent stint on the soap.
The actress, 54, rocked up in Walford playing Lola Pearce's estranged mum, Emma Harding.
The seasoned star explained she'd been a huge fan of the show for years, but wasn't quite prepared for coming face to face with 'ladies' man' Phil, played by Steve McFadden.
Recalling her first time on the BBC set, Patsy said: "I had met cast members over the years but Phil Mitchell – I swooned. I had a funny reaction."
The actress also worked closely with Danielle Harold on EastEnders, who won a gong at the Soap Awards for her sensitive portrayal of Lola's brain tumour.
Speaking about sharing scenes with the Lewisham-born star, Patsy told Bella magazine the 30-year-old was 'one of the nicest actresses she has ever worked with.'
Pasty has been on the showbiz scene for years, appearing in a number of soaps and films, including Lethal Weapon.
She has also been married and divorced four times.
In April 1997, she married Liam Gallagher before giving birth to their son, Lennon in 1999. The couple divorced in 2000 before Patsy married DJ Jeremy Healy before they split in 2010.
The actress is now engaged to her millionaire property tycoon boyfriend.
Patsy took to Instagram earlier this year to share some stunning photos of the sunset proposal – which saw business mogul Patric Cassidy, 58, surprise her on the beach.
Romantic Patric got down on one knee in the centre of a love heart made out of red petals on the sand as the sun set behind the couple.
But it wasn't the only beach Patsy's been sunning herself on this year.
The actress has swapped Albert Square for the Caribbean after joining the Death In Paradise cast, it has been claimed.
The EastEnders star has already filmed the show's tropical Christmas special, with reports suggesting Patsy spent a fortnight in Guadeloupe for the BBC One detective programme.
Death in Paradise continues to be a BBC favourite and bosses recently confirmed filming had started on season 13.
Sharing a social media photo of a clapboard underwater, they said: "We're back in Guadeloupe with a splash! Today was our first day of filming series 13 of #DeathInParadise!"
“Patsy will play a posh totty in the drama and was in her element as she filmed in the Caribbean," a source told The Sun, before adding: “Her calendar has been jam-packed with EastEnders and wedding planning.”
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
