Pat Phelan kills again in Corrie

Has Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre) managed to murder yet again despite having been dead for the best part of a year in Coronation Street?

If we know anything about soaps it’s that death won’t stop anyone, and serial killer Pat Phelan may have just added to his long list of deaths despite dying just under a year ago when he was stabbed to death by Anna Windass.

The Weatherfield residents are desperately looking for someone to blame and it looks like they might finally have their answer as to who was behind the shocking roof collapse.

Carla Connor (Alison King) was interviewed by the police who pushed her on how much she knew about the factory roof. She lied that she’d only asked Gary (Mikey North) to look at the felt and hadn’t told him to assess the structural integrity.

But as Wayne completed his health and safety report, Carla later revealed to her stunned family the real reason it all came crashing down.

‘Pat Phelan used joists that were too short,’ she told Johnny (Richard Hawley), Kate (Faye Brookes) and co. ‘He cut corners.’

Ever suspicious, Alya (Sair Khan) demanded to know if Carla had asked him to cut corners, having no idea how close she was to the truth.

‘Killing from beyond the grave,’ Yazmeen Nazir (Shelley King) commented.

Quite.

But Imran for one wasn’t to have his anger quelled by the revelation, he had overheard Roy Cropper (David Neilson) asking Wayne to go easy on Carla in his investigation, leading Rana’s brother to believe she was hiding something.

Later it all came spilling out that Carla knew something was indeed wrong with the structure of the roof, which saw Kate fly into a rage and vow to turn her back on her sister.

In fact, she and Imran joined forces and they headed straight to the police station to report Carla for her crime.

Has she lost her sister forever?
