Noughts and Crosses season 2 – will there be a second series?
NOUGHTS and Crosses is fast approaching the series finale as viewers wait to see what will happen in the world of Sephy and Callum.
But will the story come to an end forever when the final episode airs in April, or will fans get the chance to enjoy more of the story? What we know…
Will there be a second series of Noughts and Crosses?
While nothing has been confirmed just yet, it seems like there is a very good chance that there will be another series of the show.
First of all, the source material is there because Malorie Blackman's Noughts & Crosses book series has four sequel novels.
So there is definitely more of the story that can be told on screen, even with the changes that have been mad for the TV adaption.
And Masali Baduza, who plays Persephone 'Sephy' Hadley on the show, has teased the possibility of another five series of the BBC drama.
Speaking on This Morning, she said: "Hopefully, if people watch it and it becomes a big success so we can finish the book because the fans of the book were really wanting to see the end of it.
"It's such a pivotal moment for the story and hopefully we can carry on with the other books.
She added: "Mallory has written five, and I think she's writing a sixth now. I'm so excited to play Sephy and so hopefully [we can] finish the story as well."
