New Corrie video reveals the moment Steve lashes out at Jacob: 'You're trash!'

Jacob Hay (Jack James Ryan) is left utterly crushed in Coronation Street when Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) brands him ‘trash’.

The young lad is currently in relationship with Steve’s daughter Amy (Elle Mulvany), which comes to light in upcoming scenes.

Jacob invites Amy and Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) to join him for a night of clubbing following the Valentine’s Day dance at the school.

Amy, however, becomes increasingly woozy.

Clocking that she’s not quite herself, Jacob orders Asha to call for an ambulance.

Amy subsequently collapses, but Jacob comes to her rescue, putting her in the recovery position.

Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) are not pleased when they learn of what’s transpired, and they waste little time in pinning the blame on Jacob, claiming that he must’ve spiked her.

Jacob, denies such a thing, revealing that he’s seeing Amy!

The above clip, taken from Wednesday’s (February 16) edition of the ITV serial drama, sees him pop by the hospital in the hopes of building some bridges.

Jacob reiterates that he didn’t drug Amy, telling Steve that him that he would like to get to know him.

But Steve is having none of it, as he lashes out at the former drug dealer.

‘I want you to stay well away from my daughter!’, he exclaims. ‘My family have been through enough.

‘Don’t you get it? You’re trash! You always have been and you always will be!’.

Jacob is evidently hurt by Steve’s harsh words.

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday February 16 at 7:30pm on ITV.
