NCIS has been on CBS for almost two decades after originally starting off as a JAG spin-off. Almost two decades later and the universe has expanded on CBS with the introduction of NCIS Los Angeles, the recently cancelled NCIS New Orleans and NCIS Hawaii. ViacomCBS, the company behind the network, isn’t quite finished yet as it is revealed there will be yet another drama on the way. Here’s everything Express.co.uk knows so far about NCIS Sydney.
When is the NCIS Sydney release date?
ViacomCBS made the big announcement regarding a fourth NCIS spin-off today, Tuesday, February 15.
As the big reveal has only just come out, it is still really early days for NCIS Sydney so no official release date has come out.
But according to Deadline, the new drama has been slated for 2023 so filming could begin later this year.
Unfortunately, not everyone is going to be able to get to know the latest NCIS team.

Unlike the rest of the franchise, NCIS Sydney will not be making its way to CBS.
The drama is being developed specifically for Paramount+ Australia as one of its first original shows.
This is the first time one of CBS Studios’ global franchises will be getting its own spin-off.
However, if the drama goes down well with viewers Down Under, then NCIS Sydney could be shown in other territories at a later date.
Express.co.uk will update this article once more details have come out.

Who will be in the cast of NCIS Sydney?
As of yet, there have been no casting announcements made for NCIS Sydney.
It is still very early days so the drama is still likely in the planning stages.
The series will be filmed in Sydney so is expected to feature Australian actors but it hasn’t been announced if the show is keen to hire new or already existing talent.
NCIS Hawaii was the latest spin-off to be added to the franchise with actress and Love is Blind presenter Vanessa Lachey leading the way as Agent Jane Tennant.
As the show creators have recently welcomed an already familiar face to the NCIS universe, perhaps they will do the same with NCIS Sydney.
