Macaulay Culkin recreates Home Alone scenes in hilarious ad – delighting fans
Macaulay Culkin is Home Alone again for Christmas – except now he’s 38 and has fancy tech devices to help keep the baddies at bay.
The actor has partnered with Google to re-create famous scenes from the 1990 Christmas classic for a hilarious ad.
The short film shows a grown-up Kevin McCallister using Google Assistant for help – and if you’re not feeling Christmassy just yet, this is bound to get you in a festive mood.
The ad starts as Google lets him know that the only item on his calendar for the day is "house to yourself," before the recreated scenes begin.
Brilliant moments include recreations of famous bathroom scene, and Kevin jumping on the bed (this time with a bad back) and even the terrifying furnace makes a cameo.
In another twist on the classic scenes, grown-up Kev orders his pizza online and has Google Assistant handle ‘Operation Kevin’ to thwart the burglars.
Creators of the film got details in the scenes spot on, even down to the questionable festive decor – it’s genius.
Macaulay posted about the ad on Twitter, writing: "#heygoogle Have you ever wondered what Kevin McCallister is like as an adult? Me neither. But just in case you’re curious you should totally watch this #ad".
His post has since been shared over 13,000 times, and has received comments from delighted fans who love seeing Kevin as an adult.
One fan said: "You are a national treasure, Mac. I’ll just say.. that was Too Sweeeeet"
Another commented: "This just made my whole year."
"This is the best thing I never thought I needed to see. Now that I’ve seen it, my life is complete," a third said.
