Love Island fans ask where ‘missing’ Islander is as they’re labelled ‘furniture’

Love Island fans questioned where one contestant was, claiming they went "missing" during the third episode of the series. The summer series of Love Island returned to our screens this week and has already provided us with dramatic twists as two bombshells have already entered the villa.

The hit ITV2 dating show returned on Monday night with host Maya Jama to provide us with eight weeks of lust, love and a whole lot of drama. In the first episode, we watched as the first couples were paired up all thanks to the public vote.

While we thought this was the only twist of the day, the producers hit us with another shock as the first bombshell, Zachariah Noble entered the villa. He was soon followed by Whitney Adebayo who arrived in the villa on Wednesday as the second surprise bombshell.

As viewers watched the new islanders navigate their way around the villa and grab each other for chats around the fire pit, fans noticed that islander, Mehdi Edno wasn't on screen much and questioned where he was. Taking to Twitter to express their concerns one viewer wrote: "Why isn’t Medhi getting screen time?".

"Is medhi even in this episode", asked another.

Another Love Island fan confessed: "I forgot Medhi was in the villa."

While one wrote: "In all honesty yea I think medhi should go home because clearly he’s just in that villa to be looking like a furniture."

Another declared: "Damn Medhi is big time team furniture."

However, despite the concern from viewers, Mehdi sat down for a chat with new bombshell Whitney in the second half of tonight's episode.

Mehdi, 26 originally from Bordeaux, France entered the villa on day one and was coupled up with Ruchee Gurung by the public vote. The pair soon established there wasn't much chemistry between them and have since started to look elsewhere, despite still being coupled up.

Working as a model and a communications manager while travelling between his home country and London, Mehdi said for the last few years he's been too busy to find love but said he's now ready to find the one.

Sharing an insight into his single status before entering the villa, Medhi said: "I’ve been single now for over two years. I’ve watched the show before, and my friends always say I should go on it – they say I’m made for it! So let’s see if they’re right or not.

"I’ve been busy for the last few years with work, and doing my Masters degree but now I’m done with the busy schedule, and ready to find love. I’m single at the moment because I’ve been too busy for love."

He went on to share his worst date and said: "The worst date I’ve ever been on was with a girl who had come from the gym. She said she had showered, but I don’t think the shower had been on for long enough. I stayed for the whole date, because that’s what a gentleman should do, but it wasn’t a pleasant experience for me."

Talking about his ideal woman, he said: "Looks are important but they aren’t everything, a good sense of humour and someone who is outgoing and up for an adventure is what I’m looking for. For me a picnic is very romantic. A picnic on a private, secluded beach."
