Love Island fans are convinced one islander is an ‘undercover producer’ after ‘messy’ drama
Love Island fans have sparked speculation that one of the islanders may be an “undercover producer” following a heated argument in the villa.
The drama unfolded when Mitch stirred up trouble between Kady and Zach by going behind his back and telling Kady what Zach had said about their conversation. Mitch questioned Kady about her feelings and revealed she is still one of his top three girls, saying: "You shouldn’t have closed your door too early.
"The reason why I grabbed you was because Zach just went 'yeah it was a bit dry, the conversations not getting better'…"
Zach then confronted Mitch for his meddling, expressing his frustration and accusing him of creating unnecessary drama. He warned his pal: "I hate any irrational dumb drama, you’ve really thrown me in it, anytime we’ve had an issue it’s come from your side."
Mitch insisted he hadn't done anything on purpose, and even told Zach: "you are my priority and you are my closest guy mate in here."
Viewers took to Twitter to label Mitch as "messy" with some even theorising that he could be a producer plant due to how good he is at stirring the pot. One wrote: "Mitch is a producer plant. Has to be because he’s TOO GOOD at stirring drama.”
"Lmaaooo my friend said mitch is an undercover producer and i acc hear it cause what was the reason for that type of sabotage," another penned.
A third said: "at this point i can't tell if the producers are making mitch act like this for plot".
This isn't the first time fans have speculated about a plant, as earlier in the series, Molly Marsh faced similar accusations when past photos of her emerged. One fan shared a snap on Reddit of the islander standing outside the villa along with the caption: “Apparently, Molly worked behind the scenes on Love Island.”
Another viewer wrote: “I have to say it she does feel a bit like a ITV production plant and tbh it’s kind of off putting”, while another said: “They’re all production plants though. Quite literally”.
It was reported by The Sun that Molly secured a place on the official lineup after she was invited to take a look around the winter Love Island villa and hit it off with ITV bosses.
Now fans of the show are convinced that Molly is set to make a dramatic return during Casa Amor following her brutal dumping from the villa, but nothing has been confirmed. Molly hasn’t been shy about sharing her shock at Zach's actions since her departure. Appearing on the Love Island: The Morning After podcast, she said: "I thought there was something special there, and maybe there still is, but to see him lean in for a kiss with someone two nights after I've been gone, it has given me the ick."
