Loose Women star claims only Stacey Solomon was allowed to be ‘fun’

Saira Khan has blasted ITV’s Loose Women, claiming she had to be the “loud, gobby one” during her time on the show.
The 53-year-old told Closer magazine her co-star Stacey Solomon was allowed to be the fun one on the panel show.
Saira, who starred on The Apprentice, claimed: “I couldn’t be who I wanted to be on TV. On Loose Women, you saw me being quite feisty. But that’s the silo they put me in.
“I wanted to have a bit of fun, but that wasn’t for me, that was for Stacey Solomon. Stacey was the fun one, but I had to be the loud, gobby one.
“I don’t need to be in environments which I don’t have to be in. I’ve worked hard all my life. I did the show and I enjoyed it, but it doesn’t define me.”

Express.co.uk has contacted a spokesperson for Loose Women for comment.
Saira quit Loose Women almost three years ago and claimed her shock exit came down to iTV bosses trying to make her join OnlyFans.
However, a Loose Women spokesperson told Mail Online at the time: “We strongly refute all of these claims.
“Duty of care is of paramount importance for all of our panellists. Saira left the Loose Women panel almost two years ago and we wish her well.”

After leaving the programme, Saira blocked co-stars Kaye Adams, Nadia Sawalha and Jane Moore from seeing her Instagram posts.
However, Saira is still following Stacey, Brenda Edwards and Ruth Langsford on social media.
Opening up to The Mirror about leaving the show, she shared: “Firstly, I’d outgrown the programme. There were some women that I just thought, ‘I’ve got to just tolerate you to do the job and in real life, you wouldn’t be my friend.’
“They’d say the same about me. Plus, I shared a lot about myself on that show – my abuse, adoption, arranged marriage and a lot of relationship stuff. You don’t get a lot of thanks for that.”
At the time she also said she left the show to focus on her skincare business, SairaSkin which was established in 2016.
Loose Women airs on weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
