The singer, who sold more than 30million records with her sisters in pop group The Nolans, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 but got the all-clear in 2006.
However, she was diagnosed with incurable secondary breast cancer in 2017, which has spread to her hip and liver.
The star was also previously diagnosed with cellulitis and lymphedema in 2007.
On GMB, Linda said: “I’ve always been open about my cancer.
“I just want to tell you from me, that unfortunately my cancer has now spread to my brain which I only found out on Monday.”
“It’s obviously very frightening because there isn’t much for brain cancer at the moment apart from radiotherapy which I’m going to be having.”
She added: “But there’s a new drug that been in use for a year for brain cancer that I’m going to try.”
With a smile on her face she quipped: “I’m not giving up, I’m positive.
“I’m going to lose my hair again, for the fourth time,” she said.
It didn’t take long for Good Morning Britain viewers to send in their well wishes and support to the TV star.
“Sending you love and strength Linda,” wrote one viewer.
Another person added: “Sending you love, keep smiling!”
“Thinking of you Linda,” said a third.
“Oh dear god, poor Linda Nolan. We really do take our health for granted,” proclaimed someone else.
A fourth agreed: "Sending you loads of love. You are an inspiration, keep strong."
"I didn't think I'd start Monday in tears," said another person, before adding: "You are inspirational and so brave."
