Johnny Galecki exposes extremity of cast's grief in heartbreaking TBBT photo

It’s been a tough few weeks for any fan of the comedy. Last week Sheldon sang Sweet Kitty for the final time, while it appears tonight’s instalment will line up the exit of Leonard and Penny after he makes a pretty bold decision about their future.

Metro.co.uk caught up with one of the executive producers, Eric Kaplan, to hear more about the show’s concluding chapter, and he exclusively told us: ‘I can say that for people who care about these characters, it’s going to be both very surprising, but also very, very emotionally satisfying.

‘It’s hard for me to say of which it will be more, but it will be both, a lot.’

The Big Bang Theory airs Thursdays on CBS in the US and on E4 in the UK.
