Jack Whitehall breaks down in tears and sobs on camera in emotional scenes | The Sun
JACK Whitehall broke down in tears as he talked about his dad in a revealing new interview.
The comedian, 34, and dad Michael, 83, trade hilarious barbs and mercilessly rib each other on their hit show Travels With my Father.
But there's a far more sensitive part of their relationship that viewers might not necessarily be aware of.
On the latest edition of Dragons' Den star Steven Bartlett's Diary of a CEO podcast, Jack gets very emotional as he reflects on the pair's relationship.
Jack, who will soon be a first time dad with girlfriend Roxy Horner, said: "I wanted to have a baby because I wanted him to be around and to know my child and spend time with my kid.
"I've seen how amazing he is with my niece. He's the most loving person ever and so I want him to have a relationship with my kid.

"I want to do all of these things and have success in my career that I can share with him, and he can see these things and enjoy them. I do still think a lot about impressing him. His approval does still mean a hell of a lot to me."
The candid words were described as "beautiful" by the host, and viewers agreed.
One wrote: "Omgosh I listened to this this morning and saw a completely different side to Jack that I haven’t seen before. Such a beautiful conversation, full of emotion and it was such a pleasure to listen to his story."
Another said: "Remarkable! I look forward to finish the episode later on my break. Shows how parents acutely shape their kid’s future and the impact their actions have on their children."
