I’m A Celeb’s Anne Hegerty admits she’s sleeping with one of Nick Knowles’ items
Anne Hegerty has revealed she is still keeping Nick Knowles close by SLEEPING with one of his items from the I’m A Celebrity camp.
The Chase’s fiery quizzer struggled in her early days in camp, and after the main campers were told of her desire to leave the show, Nick reached out to her, snuggling close to her and giving her a much-needed hug.
He later offered her a gift to help ease her discomfort – his pillow – and it turns out Anne still can’t be without it, despite it "smelling of wood smoke."
In her first interview since she left the jungle last night, she told This Morning’s Phillip Schofield and Rochelle Humes, when talking about who helped her get through her difficulties in the jungle: "My campmates were just like, ‘Let’s take it easy, get through the next few hours… have one more night in here and see how you feel,’ and it gradually began to feel like something I could continue to do.
"And when I got into main camp everyone was so lovely. John Barrowman comes running up the path with his arms open and Nick sidled up to me and gave me a hug, and his pillow, which I’ve been sleeping on ever since.
"It’s still covered in wood smoke."
Nick clearly made quite the impression on Anne, as she declared she would like to see him win the show entirely, though she suspects it will be Harry Redknapp who takes the crown.
Anne has also vowed to speak to the young man who went on This Morning to talk about his autism, and he also wrote a letter to Anne to thank her for her efforts in the jungle.
Joseph Hughes, 11, wrote how people are "mean to him" about his Asperger’s syndrome, but Anne said she has seen the video clip and thought it was "absolutely delightful."

She said: "My brother’s shown me the video clip, it’s absoutely delightful and I’d like to write back to him."
Since leaving the show, Anne admitted she has realised she is "more of a wimp" than she expected, though she ensures that the Governess will not soften on The Chase.
She continued: "I’ve learnt I’m far more of a wimp than I thought I was going to be – I’m really utterly pathetic about spiders and any wriggly invertebrates.
"If you go into my bra I’m going to go into complete meltdown.
"I’ve learnt I can get along with people better than it thought I could, or more probably that it was just an exceptionally nice year, full of lovely people.
"The Governess will continue to be utterly brutal, but Anne Hegerty is a bit of a wimp and a bottler."
I’m A Celebrity continues tonight at 9pm on ITV and This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
