I'm a Celebrity denies fans' latest conspiracy theory about Dec Donnelly and Holly Willoughby
I’m a Celebrity fans are so convinced that there’s trickery and fixing at work on the ITV series that their eyes might just be playing tricks on them.
Whether it’s fans thinking campmates have been warned about their evictions ahead of time or certain stars having access to their phones in the jungle, there are conspiracy theories popping up constantly on Twitter.
The latest didn’t even have to do with evictions! Some fans were absolutely convinced during Tuesday’s episode that Dec Donnelly and Holly Willoughby were presenting live links in front of a green screen — meaning, they were somewhere other than the jungle.
[The supposed green screen link]
This is a real conspiracy theory that popped up – and it really caught fire throughout the episode:
As you saw there, some speculated a green screen was used because there was a torrential downpour in the jungle throughout the episode. Digital Spy reached out to the show, and a representative told us any claims that a green screen was used were “absolute nonsense”.
There is no question that Dec did eventually record a live link from the jungle bridge, with Holly reminding him of how dangerous it was since critters tend to fall out of the trees during storms.
This is the third straight night of conspiracy theories from fans. Most recently, Dec laughed off claims that Monday’s eviction was a fix when some thought that Sair Khan had her hair made up when she left camp.
“Done her hair? You’re clutching at straws now,” he promised fans.
I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! continues on Wednesday (December 5) at 9pm on ITV, followed by Extra Camp directly after on ITV2.
