I'm A Celeb star Malique Thompson-Dwyer finally shaves off his jungle beard and looks totally different

The 20-year-old actor had clung on to the Nick Knowles look of closely cropped facial hair for weeks – but had to surrender it today as he returned to filming Hollyoaks.

Grimacing in pain in a video he posted as he fired up the electric razor backstage on set, the lad wrote: "Beards gotta go."

In the next shot, he'd gone down to just a handlebar moustache – but he still wasn't finished.

His final picture saw him completely clean-shaven, writing: "Baby face Mal."

The reason for the close shave soon became apparent, with him later posting footage of some down time on the set of Hollyoaks.

He said: "Back. Back on set. Gotta get back to it" as he prepared to return as the soap's cocky Prince McQueen.

Last week, Malique was reunited with his daughter, sharing a cute video as he returned home after roughing it in the jungle.

Thrilled to be reunited, the Hollyoaks hunk shared the heart-warming clip on Instagram, writing: "Daddy's home."

He threw the tot in the air and hugged her close to his chest – and she looked equally thrilled to be back in the arms of her dad.
