I’m A Celeb beauty admits cameraman broke rules by smuggling food into jungle
I’m A Celebrity star Nicola McLean revealed two cameramen cheekily broke ITV rules and once snuck her food into the jungle.
The former glamour model appeared on the reality show back in 2008 and narrowly missed out on competing in the celebrity cyclone in the last few days in camp. During her time on the show, she famously had a row with musician David Van Day and almost left the camp due to home sickness.
Now, the former Page 3 model has exclusively revealed how two cameramen managed to keep her going during her three-week stint down under by breaking ITV rules. The mum-of-two revealed how one crew member caved and gave her a snack during filming.

She told us: “I got a tic tac, one tic tac and that was it. Apart from that, one cameraman comforted me when I was crying.
“Like I'd taken myself away and I was crying because I was really struggling, I missed my sons so much. And all he said was, ‘You’re doing really well’.
“So I got a, ‘You’re doing really well’ and another one gave me a tic tac, other than that they all stay really in character. They’re told not to converse with you, not to look at you, not to laugh at you.”
The model went on to reveal how she actively tried to make the crew “break character” on the show so that she could get some more gossip. Nicola added: “I would try and talk to them and make them laugh, they wouldn’t.
“But yeah, two of them broke. I think one felt really sorry for me because it was literally breaking my heart. How do you just leave someone sitting there?
“People always ask me, ‘Do they give you a little bit of food?’ But you honestly don’t get anything, what you see is what you get in there from my experience.”
The TV star went on to share her surprise at the noticeably absent shower scenes throughout the show this year. Nicola was known for her infamous shower scenes on the show where she poured her killer curves into tiny bikinis after completing gruelling Bushtucker trials.

The actress fumed: “There’s something going on with that because we’ve seen the men in [the showers] but we’ve not seen any off the women. I was so thankful for the shower scenes because I got on the front cover of The Daily Star probably every day when I was in there.
“I was going in the shower even when I didn’t need to, I was strategic about it so I don’t know why we haven’t been seeing it as much this year.”
