CELEBRITY couple Nicole Scherzinger and Thom Evans ongoing romance is still going strong despite claims to the contrary earlier in the year.

The couple had to address claims that they had split up this year, taking to Instagram to squash the rumours as they spoke about how they were looking forward to Valentine's Day together.

Who is Thom Evans?

Thom Evans was born Harare in Zimbabwe on April 2, 1985.

The former rugby player spent most of his career playing for Glasgow Warriors and made ten test appearances for Scotland also.

He was forced to retire from the sport he loved at the age of 24 following an injury he sustained in a game playing for Scotland against Wales.

After receiving medical advice, as a result of a neck injury, it was no longer viable for him to continue playing such a physical sport.

During a Six Nations game, he collided with Wales' Lee Byrne and was immediately stretchered off the pitch and underwent surgery on his neck that evening.

The neck injury was so severe it was reported that he was very close to paralysis or death.

When did Nicole Scherzinger and Thom Evans meet?

Nicole first met hunk Thom, 35, when he appeared on X Factor: Celebrity series back in 2019.

Their romance has gone from strength to strength ever since and Nicole was introduced to his parents, Brian and Sally, in Portugal.

Show insiders say the pair flirted and texted for weeks before Thom finally asked out the 44-year-old singer.
