Hollyoaks Kieron Richardson hints Ste will return to the village with a new BOYFRIEND after emotional exit last night – The Sun

HOLLYOAKS star Kieron Richardson has teased Ste Hay may return to Hollyoaks with a new boyfriend.

The 33-year-old left the E4 soap after 14 years earlier this week, but has since hinted at a return.

Kieron said goodbye to the Hollyoaks village as the final chapter of the far right storyline came to a close.

Before he left, the star took to Twitter to address avid soap fans.

In a video posted to Hollyoaks' official Twitter page, he said: "It's just me! I've come to say goodbye because Ste has left in a taxi. I never thought I would say these words, but they are temporary words.

"I was here for the tenth birthday and I'm going to be here for the twenty-fifth birthday, by hook or by crook."

"I've had an amazing nearly fifteen years now. I've just had a whopping eighteen months of a storyline, which I'm really super proud of. And I hope it does well in award season."

The actor later revealed why he was sporting a beard, saying: "I'm going to do a little theatre job right now, that's why I've got a little beard or a big beard.

"Hopefully, by the time I come back for the twenty-fifth birthday it'll be gone. Ste will probably have different hair, yet again. Maybe a new boyfriend? Maybe Brendan will come back."

Alongside the video, it read: "Awh, it's time we say goodbye to the brilliant Kieron Richardson… But it's only a goodbye for now! He'll be back, with a new boo and probably new hair!"

Kieron will be taking a break in order to appear in a play called Band Of Gold, but is due to return at some point next year.

He’ll act alongside fellow soap stars Laurie Brett (EastEnders’ Jane Beale), Gaynor Faye (Emmerdale’s Megan Macey) and Shayne Ward (Coronation Street’s Aidan Connor).
