Holly Willoughby makes shock confirmation about I’m A Celeb
Holly Willoughby has ruled out returning to Australia in 2019 – and says she will leave I’m A Celebrity to Ant and Dec in the future.
The 37-year-old host stood in for Anthony McPartlin this year as he battled drink and drug issues and the ITV show enjoyed record ratings with some fans calling for her to return.
Other reports suggested she would be invited back by execs or could return for a week on the ITV2 spin off show or with This Morning.
But speaking for the first time since she returned to the UK, Holly said: “It’s definitely business as usual This was a one off, once in a lifetime adventure.”
Asked if there was room to join as a trio on the show next year, Holly added: “I just don’t think it’s even an option. I’m not even thinking about that. I’ll be at home with everyone else having a glass of wine watching it as everyone else is. That’s what I was most jealous of, here I am standing here when you’re all drinking red wine in front of the fire.”
Her regular co-host Phillip Schofield, who will be alongside her on Dancing On Ice as well as This Morning, praised her work with Dec in the jungle.
He said: “I was so proud, she did so well. I enjoyed myself enormously watching because I knew what it was going to be like and she was brilliant, hilarious and caring.”
Holly added: “Phil sent me the most amazing message and I just ext back going, ‘I can’t stop reading it, stop sending me nice messages because I am already a total emotional wreck’.”
Holly has only been back in the UK a few days and also told how she has been suffering jet lag, waking up at around 3.30am each morning at the moment.
She said: “I’m all over the shop! What day is it? I don’t even know! It’s Dancing On Ice day, that’s all I know! It’s extreme to be stood on an ice rink in heels and a dress compared to where I have just been. It’s tricky getting back into some sort of routine, but it’s Christmas, so everything this OK.”
