Glastonbury 's The Other Stage headliner Lana Del Rey was forced to apologise after she had her power cut off after starting late.

She arrived on the stage 30 minutes late to the sound of the crowd singing "we want Lana", and was quick to apologise for her late start.

Lana said: "I was so f****** late that I am about to rush this set,” she said.

"If they cut power, they cut power. I’m super f****** sorry, my hair takes so long to do."

Her power was then cut off at midnight due to the curfew, and Lana was forced to lead fans in an acapella performance of her final song Video Games.

Fans quickly rushed to social media as they shared their shock at the singer being cut off, as one said: "Lana Del Rey being cut off mid sentence at Glasto is just the lastest in a long line of media disrespect for her. Disgusting move."

Another added: "LANA DEL REY DID NOT GET BOO’D THE BOOING WAS FOR THE EVENT ORGANISERS WHO DIDNT LET HER FINISH HER SET."

A third gushed: "The way the crowd was singing along is so pretty."

A fourth chipped in: "Video games a capella after they cut her set, im sobbing, her love for the crowd is amazing."

Lana was also said to not be impressed she was not initially billed as the main act on the stage for Saturday on the first line-up poster.

The poster had been listed in alphabetical order, with Del Rey featuring further down, but it did not mark her out as the headline act for The Other Stage.

Meanwhile, Lewis Capaldi also had the crowd sing his music back to him as he struggled to sing his song as he dealt with his Tourette's syndrome.

He told the crowd: "Glastonbury, I'm really sorry. I'm a bit annoyed with myself."

Lewis then suggested he would need to continue his break to try and recuperate, as he said: "I feel like I'll be taking another wee break over the next couple of weeks. So you probably won't see much of me for the rest of the year, maybe even.

"But when I do come back and when I do see you, I hope you're still up for watching us."
