Gary promises Sarah he’s paid off his debts and won’t lie to her anymore, but he’s quickly caught out when she hears Alex talking about a loan shark called Rick and Sarah realises he’s been to their house.
Ken is in a bad mood at the christening when he receives a letter from the council charging him for allowing his dog to poo in public and Sinead tries to calm the families’ bickering when he learns Beth reported him.
Chesney is annoyed at Gemma feeling too hungover for the christening so she tries to make him a fish pie to say sorry. But she falls asleep and burns it. But she’s intrigued when she reads a text from Tyrone.
After setting up his new handyman business, Seb is called on by salon owner Rachel to fix the toilet, where he meets Alina.
Monday 22nd April – Part two
Seb finds Gary bloodied and in a bad way at the builder’s yard. He tells Seb his van and tools have been stolen, but when Seb tells Eileen what happened she makes a shocking decision.
Bertie’s christening becomes absolute madness as it descends into a food fight as the Tinkers go up against the Barlows over poo gate.
Chesney suggests fish and chips but Gemma isn’t in the mood – she’s read his texts to Tyrone and realised their relationship is over as she’s ruining his life.
Seb has a flirt with Alina but is deflated when she knocks him back.
Wednesday 24th April – Part One
Peter is becoming increasingly concerned over what’s happened to Carla and he goes with Simon’s suggestion of using her photo on social media with the hashtag #FindCarla. He’s not sure it will work but he’s surprised when he is contacted by someone claiming to have seen her.
Sarah tells Bethany she regrets her relationship with Gary. Gary, meanwhile, tries to convince Bethany to speak to Sarah and get her to listen to him as he still believes they can make it work.
Gemma is gutted when Chesney implies her ongoing sickness is due to a drink problem. Emma calls in on her and finds her sick and upset. Gemma tells her what she read in the texts and that it’s clear she’s upsetting him. She later sees Rita who suggests her sickness might be down to something else so she does a pregnancy test, and is absolutely aghast when it shows up positive.
After his performance at the christening Kirk decides to apply for X Factor.
Wednesday 24th April – Part two
Peter reads the message with intrigue – it’s from a guy from Carla’s old estate who says he’s seen her and will help Peter – for cash. Ken tells him to just call the police, but Peter wants to go alone. He arrives at the derelict house ready to hand over cash, but will they actually help?
Sarah finally agrees to meet with Gary who begs for forgiveness. Will she forgive and forget?
Rita insists that Gemma go and tell Chesney her huge pregnancy news. How will he react?
Seb thanks Alina after she returned tools he’d left behind There’s a spark between them, so he takes her to Speed Daal for a drink. But when Alina spots Jan she makes her excuses and leaves, what’s she up to?
Friday 26th April – Part one
Peter gets news of Carla – the police tell him she used her bank card and was seen near the squat. He goes back and gets heavy with one of the squatters and Johnny is forced to intervene.
Gemma decides to leave no.5 and packs up her things. Later, Chesney finds her leaning against a wall feeling faint and he’s worried, pushing her to go to the medical centre. She opens up to the doctor and says the baby is unplanned and she’s scared.
Mary is involved in a nasty accident when Jan comes riding around the corner on his bike only to crash into her. She injures her wrist and Jan and Moira take her to the medical centre.
Friday 26th April – Part two
Peter crumbles under the weight of worry over Carla’s disappearance, but Simon tries to come to his dad’s rescue. Peter will be no good to Carla if he loses it now.
Toyah is left with big questions when she finds out Nick is meeting with Helen, a loss adjuster, who tells him they can’t pay out until the police investigation is complete. What is he up to?
Seb brings Alina home and confesses to her he’s HIV positive. He’s surprised when she turns out to be sympathetic and she kisses him. She asks for his number and he’s over the moon. But she secretly steals his biscuits.
Gemma finds out she is nine to 10 weeks pregnant and she decides to keep it. What will Chesney say?
