Five ITV Coronation Street theories: huge feud, breakup and killer exposed | The Sun

ADAM Barlow is hellbent on revenge after his wife Sarah Platt admitted she cheated on him with Damon Hay.

But how will Sarah react to his plan? And could another couple call it quits this week in Coronation Street? Here's what could happen.

1. Deadly feud

Adam (played by Sam Robertson) was incandescent with rage with his wife Sarah (Tina O'Brien) revealed she had slept with Damon Hay (Ciarán Griffiths).

In explosive scenes aired on ITV, Adam lost his cool and headed to the Bistro to confront his rival before walking out on his wife altogether.

While the couple struggle to problem-solve, Sarah and her son Harry take Adam for a belated father’s day meal at Speed Daal this week, but when Damon calls in, they’re both on edge.

Sarah’s later pleased when Adam pulls her in for a kiss but when she spots Damon she realises it was for his benefit not hers.

Adam is determined to get revenge on Damon and urges Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) to cut him off, claiming the man is poisonous.

Whether Nick will listen or not remains to be seen but Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) gets a massive shock when she finds Adam trawling through Paul Foreman’s file looking for dirt on Damon.

Adam soon turns to the builder to wheedle information out of him about the car theft scam and gleans information on the guy he dealt with.

Having traced Niall’s phone number, Adam meets with Niall, telling him that Damon Hay is planning to do the dirty on him and inform the police about his involvement in the car insurance scam.

2. Sarah makes a choice

With Adam ready to get revenge on Damon, one could theorise that Sarah may not be in agreement with his plan.

Her first reaction to Damon's own misdeeds involved disgust but how will she feel about her husband Adam treading on a similar path than the criminal?

Sarah may find out about what Adam is planning and decide she no longer recognises the man she married.

What could follow may add fuel to the fire.

What if Sarah decides that Damon is the man for her, despite his chequered past?

Could the tables dramatically turn on Adam?

3. Explosive breakup

Speaking of separating, is Daisy Midgeley's relationship with Daniel Osbourne headed for the rocks this week?

Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) has been feeling lonely since his acid attack but Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) remained adamant on helping him throughout his recovery.

Unfortunately, this led to the pair kissing behind the Rovers Return Inn and Daisy is harbouring complicated feelings for Ryan.

Following their kiss, Ryan decided it was best for them to stay away from one another.

Coming up, Daisy's fiancé Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) calls at the flat after hearing from Carla Connor (Alison King) that Ryan is struggling and that he refuses to see the barmaid despite their close friendship.

Thinking on his feet, Ryan reveals he’s been in a dark place since he found out the truth about Crystal.

Regular viewers of the Manchester-based drama will know that Ryan is aware he was catfished – but he was no clue Daisy is to blame.

Daniel urges a guilty Daisy to pay Ryan a visit and she follows his advice.

But things take a turn when he admits how much he’s missed her and leans in for a kiss – and she finds herself kissing him back, just as Carla returns.

Things go from bad to worse in later scenes when a brooding Ryan reveals that he’s realised that she was the catfisher pretending to be Crystal after a chat with Max Turner (Paddy Bever).

Max was previously given Daisy's spare phone which she was using to impersonate Crystal and the incident led Daniel to figure out what she had been up to behind his back.

Daisy desperately tries to explain how after the attack Crystal made it clear that she wanted nothing to do with him and she was only trying to protect his feelings.

Bubbling with rage, Ryan throws her out.

As Daisy tries again to plead her case, insisting her intentions were honourable Ryan’s scathing and asserting that it’s time Daniel knew about their kisses, he heads out.

Will Daniel put an end to his engagement with Daisy after finding outshe kissed Ryan on multiple occasions?

Can Daisy save her relationship?

4. Mean streak returns

Gone are the days when Daniel Osbourne wreaked havoc throughout the cobbles when things didn't go his way.

Throughout his time on the Street, Daniel became involved in plenty of dramatic storylines, which he often caused.

Many will remember him pushing his own father Ken Barlow down the stairs before he reiterated years later with Max Turner.

But in recent months, the Weatherfield teacher appears to have calmed down and matured, focusing only on his future with Daisy and his sonBertie.

However, one could imagine he may be pushed over the edge by Ryan and Daisy.

Much like his nephew Adam, could Daniel seek revenge on the pair?

5. Killer downfall

Meanwhile, and unbeknownst to residents, Stephen Reid remains on a murderous warpath.

Stephen Reid (portrayed by Todd Boyce) drugged Carla Connor (Alison King), prompting her to believe she was having another psychotic episode.

While this temporarily worked a charm, with the villain at the helm while she recovered, Stephen's plans came crashing down when Carla revealed she intended to sell the Underworld factory.

Cash-strapped and unable to give her an offer without the financial support of his supposed other half Elaine Metcalfe, Stephen had to watch newcomer Owen (Ben Hull) swoop in to have his own deal with Carla.

This week, things could go from bad to worse for Stephen as the businesswoman may make a shocking discovery.

It all starts in the Rovers when Stephen glances wistfully at Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews), whom he has been secretly obsessing over.

He then transfers £480 from the Underworld bank account to a private account in the name of Seagull Ltd to pay the next instalment of the life insurance policy.

Later on, however, Carla tells him Owen is demanding to see the company accounts and Stephen masks his anxiety.

Things are not looking good for the villain and viewers have theorised Elaine's poisoning may be the beginning of the end for Stephen.

Last week, one viewer speculated that, while Elaine survived Stephen drugging her, Corrie residents will begin to put two and two together.

"I don’t think she’ll die but this will be the beginning of his downfall", the fan penned.

"Like Elaine ends up having bloodwork and it shows some abnormality than casts suspicion on Stephen."

Elaine's son Tim has already started to grill Stephen over his mother's condition, well aware that something isn't adding up.

Will Stephen's deeds finally be exposed?

Coronation Street airs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
