Emmerdale spoilers: Bob Hope left homeless as his financial situation gets worse
Most staff at the Woolpack pub – where Bob has worked since last year – are delighted when landlady Chas Dingle announces plans to hand them all a bonus.
But Bob is left disappointed when he realises the extra cash won’t even scratch the surface of his money woes.
Having clearly overstayed his welcome at the B&B Bob – who is played by Tony Audenshaw in the ITV soap – begins looking for accommodation of his own.
But he’s horrified when he realises how much it costs to rent somewhere and – with a deposit required as well – it’s well beyond his means.
Heartbroken, he’s drawn to an ad for a homeless hostel. Has it really come to this for the former tights salesman?
Bob has been left practically destitute after he had a fling with widowed Laurel Thomas, while he was living with his long-term love Brenda Walker. When Brenda found out about his cheating, Bob left their home and moved in with Laurel.
He also handed his share of the café he and Brenda ran together over to his ex. But when Laurel decided she didn’t actually want to be in a relationship with Bob and publicly dumped him in the pub, he realised he had lost everything.
Brenda wouldn’t take him back and he moved into the B&B but left owners Eric Pollard and Diane Sugden angry when he couldn’t pay his bill.
Will Bob be forced to move into the hostel or will a friend step in to help him?
