Emmerdale Laurel star’s love life – from secret wedding to hiding baby bump
Laurel Thomas has been a staple of Emmerdale since she first arrived in the village in 2002.
But Laurel has already made waves throughout her time on the ITV soap set in the Yorkshire Dales.
The character has been involved in multiple storylines from hubby Ashley's battle with dementia to dealing with alcoholism.

But in her love life, Charlotte Bellamy, who plays Laurel on the soap, has more in common with her character than you might think.
So, as Laurel celebrates tying the knot with on-screen partner Jai Sharma, Daily Star deep dives Charlotte Bellamy's relationship with her own childhood sweetheart.
Childhood sweethearts
Bellamy, 50, has been married to husband Mungo Denison, who works as a company director with offices in London and Leeds.
The pair were lovers from the get-go, having first met at the young age of 18.
But despite being together for so long, the couple did not feel the need to get married so early on.
Instead the couple decided to take things at their own pace and decide when they wanted to tie the knot themselves.
Secret wedding
When the couple did decide to get hitched, Charlotte and Mungo opted for a private ceremony in May 2012.
In fact, it was so private that the marriage was kept a secret from all their friends and family.
The couple chose to get married on a whim, according to Bellamy who was speaking to the Sunday Mirror in 2015.
Bellamy only went public with the marriage in 2015, some three years after the couple wed.
"We didn't invite anyone or tell anyone, we just did it and it was perfect," she said.
"We sat there at breakfast and said to the kids, 'We're getting married today' and they were like, 'What?!'. It was hilarious".

Instead of a lavish wedding with tens of guests invited, Charlotte and Mungo made their vows watched on only by their mothers and children.
It was such a low-key affair that Charlotte's wedding dress was a striped cocktail dress with a big white bow at the front of the gown.
She later revealed she paid just £60 for the outfit from a shop in Notting Hill.
It was also revealed that she had borrowed a pair of Laurel's shoes from the Emmerdale set to get hitched in.
She later explained that she did not have any navy shoes to go with the frock, "so I borrowed a pair of Laurel's from work. I've never told anyone that so I hope I don't get in trouble".
Real-life pregnancies
Bellamy and Denison are proud parents to teir three children Sunnie, Herbie and Teddie.
All of Charlotte's pregnancies came whilst she was starring on the ITV soap, so producers were forced to work around her baby bump.
The only times Laurel was made to leave the show since she entered the village in 2002 were to go on maternity leave to raise her newborn kids.
In 2004, Charlotte gave birth to son Sunnie. Luckily, she did not have to hide her baby bump, as writers had temporarily written her out of the show.
But in 2006, she was pregnant for the second time with second son Herbie.
Little did she know that producers had been eyeing Laurel to also be pregnant.
As a result, many of the scenes where Laurel is shown to be heavily pregnant are real, as Charlotte also carried her own child.
The actress was eight months pregnant before going on maternity leave, giving birth to Herbie just three weeks after filming.
Charlotte would go on to have her third child – daughter Teddie – in 2009 – and was temporarily written out of the soap to be with her child.
As the kids have grown up, Bellamy says her children "couldn't care less" about their mum being a famous actress.
But she admitted that the trio are often asked about their mum at school as a lot of the kids watch Emmerdale.
