Emmerdale double exit ‘sealed’ as fans fret two huge stars set to leave for good
Emmerdale looks set for a double exit twist as fans worry two stars could quit the ITV soap for good.
Viewers are preparing to say goodbye to Cathy Hope – played by Gabrielle Dowling – who is heading off to the Lake District to see her brother Scott amid her mounting issues with her periods.
After deferring her exams and accidentally hitting her dad Bob across the face, Cathy decided it was best she leave the village as soon as possible to try and gain some perspective.

At the same time, Rhona’s mum Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson) is ready to risk it all and move to Ecuador with her new lover Faye.
Rhona was left uneasy with her mum’s decision as she dropped a major hint in the Woolpack that she may never come back.
Showing off a series of snaps of where she was heading, Suzy told Mary: “Now that is a place I would happily go to, to die!"
Mary agreed: “Do you know, I said nearly exactly the same thing to Faye!"
Fans now think it could herald a permanent exit for Mary and Cathy, and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
One wrote: “Why is it always the good characters like Faith and Mary that leave and we're left with some awful ones?”
As someone else agreed: “So does that mean Cathy is leaving?!”
A third viewer said: “Mary is going to run away from home as well – everyone is running away. Soon there will only be the moos left!”
Another fan, however, had a different viewpoint as they penned: “Maybe Cathy and Brenda can go and help out in the women's shelter in Ecuador and hopefully not come back.”

“Yes!! Go Cathy! Go to the lakes! GO NOW! I’ll help you pack!!” someone else quipped.
It comes after another actress quit the show earlier this month.
Karene Peters, who plays Naomi Walters, is set to film her final scenes as vicar Charles’ daughter very soon, with a source telling The Sun: “Karene's loved her time on the soap but it is time for her to go.
"Being on Emmerdale was a dream but she became an actor to play different roles and that's exactly what she wants to do.
"The door isn't being closed on Naomi so she could always make a return down the line."
