EastEnders spoilers: Whitney Dean and Halfway set to MARRY in wedding storyline?

Now Whitney (played by Shona McGarty) looks to be getting wed for the second time to boyfriend Halfway (Tony Clay).

The EastEnders couple have had a few stumbling blocks in their relationship but are clearly a strong pair.

Filming pictures from the BBC soap hint that a wedding is on the cards for Whitney and Halfway.

This may come a shock to viewers as the big question hasn’t been popped as of yet on the programme.

Snaps show Whitney wearing an engagement ring as she visit a bridal boutique with sister Tiffany Butcher (Maisie Smith) as well as Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy).

Sonia and Whitney swig some bully from champagne flutes as they sit on a bench as the show films on location in Welwyn Garden City.

Tiffany, who is a strong contender maid of honour, can also be seen in a garish pink frilly dress.

But viewers will have to wait and see how the engagement unfolds and who does the asking.

If Whitney is preparing for her wedding, it could point to a very important return.

Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) acted like a mum toward Whitney, who is the daughter of one of her exes and Debra Dean (Ruth Gemmell).

Her reappearance may come as a comfort to Tiffany who has recently gone through a harrowing ordeal after getting involved in a drug gang.

She also revealed that she had been raped while on the run from Walford but it’s only her uncle Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) who knows what went on.

Whitney was formerly married to Linda (Kellie Bright) and Mick Carter’s (Danny Dyer) son Lee (Danny-Boy Hatchard).

However, their relationship crumbled after Lee found himself in major financial trouble and spun an elaborate web of lies to cover his tracks.

Desperate Lee even organised an armed robbery on his own family which saw his brother Johnny (Ted Reilly) attacked with a baseball bat.

Lee’s mental health took a real toll in the wake of the incident and Whitney was horrified at what he had done.

After a row over one of his ex-army mates, Lee ended up hitting Whitney round the face.

While she forgave him and Lee was appalled at his actions, Mick advised him to leave Whitney and Lee eventually went to make a new life for himself in Dover.

Following that, Whitney was also engaged to Woody Woodward (Lee Ryan) who eventually left her behind to start a job in Malaga.

EastEnders continues tomorrow at 7.30pm on BBC One.
