Eastenders is CANCELLED on Friday for the rugby – but it’s on twice tonight

Viewers will instead be spoiled to two 30 minute showings of the BBC soap tonight, the first of which will air at 7.30.

There will then be a second episode at 8.30 – after a best bits special of Would I Lie To You?

The first installment will see Nicola (Alexandra Gilbreath) and Maddie (Robyn Page) turn up at Mel's house and demand answers about Ray's whereabouts.

Elsewhere, Jack – played by Scott Maslen – is concerned about the way Hunter (Charlie Winter) is behaving.

And the drama doesn't subside in the follow-up episode as Mel (Tamzin Outhwaite) asks to meet up with Ian so she can ask for advice about Hunter.

Of course, Ian – played by Adam Woodyatt- mistakes Mel's proposition for something more and awkwardly thinks the pair are on a date.

Meanwhile, things get more complicated between Sharon and toyboy Keanu (Danny Walters) as he refuses to accept her rejection.

Convinced he'll be able to win her back, he decides to dump Louise – a decision that culminates in the teen throwing a drink in his face.

It's a U-turn from earlier in the week, when it looked like Keanu was finally ready to commit to Louise, played by actress Tilly Keeper, when he threw her a party for passing her driving theory test.

But things got even more complicated when his ex-fling Sharon, played by Letitia Dean, returned just in time to see him kissing her stepdaughter.
