EastEnders hardman Danny Dyer refuses to kill bugs because he says they have 'families' and 'would be missed'

HARDMAN actor Danny Dyer turns into a softie when it comes to bugs — refusing to kill them because they have “families”.

The EastEnders actor, 41, can’t bring himself to squish spiders as they would be missed by their own loved ones.

His daughter Dani, 22, said: “Dad is such a wuss he wouldn’t hurt a fly.

“Definitely not a spider, anyway. He’s convinced himself that spiders have family somewhere who would miss them if they died.

“‘What if someone squashes a male spider and his wife is sat in her web in the corner of the room wondering why he hasn’t come home for his supper?’.

“And he also sees spiders like his roommates. If I clock a spider on the ceiling he will say to me, ‘There’s no point in killing your roommate, is there?

“You should feel like you owe him something, you know?’ I just laugh at him when he’s like that. He’s such an absolute idiot sometimes.”

The Love Island winner revealed in her new book What Would Dani Do? her Football Factory father sobbed when they had to return their pet chihuahua Dodger to its breeder.

She said: “Dad was properly gutted. He really sobbed. It’s still a bit of a sore subject, if I’m honest.

“Me and Mum just didn’t get along with Dodger but my dad absolutely loved the creature.

“When we made him take him back to the breeder, he sat in the car and cried for hours. He was a broken man. He still won’t forgive me for it now.

“Sometimes, when he wants to make me feel bad, he looks at me all deadpan and says, ‘I proper cried in the car, I did, Dan.’”
