EastEnders’ fans shock as Jean explodes at Kush locking him out and throwing his stuff into the street – The Sun

EASTENDERS fans were shocked at the close of tonight's episode to see mild-mannered Jean Slater explode with rage at Kush Kazemi, locking him out and throwing his stuff into the street.

He returned home after her hospital visit to find the door barricaded, with Jean weakly telling him from an upstairs window: "It's locked and bolted."

Her fury came after she collapsed in the street outside the Minute Mart after Kush and Shirley secretly slipped her lithium pills that left her at death's door.

Flinging a box of belongings down into the street, she told him: "And this is the last of your stuff" as it thudded onto the pavement.

Kush asked: "What is this?" to which she replied: "This is simple. I don't trust you and I don't want you to live here any more."

He protested: "This is the kids' home" but she shot back: "Not any more."

Kush shouted up: "You can't make five kids homeless."

But she threw down a bundle of toys telling him: "You did that. Not me."

At hospital earlier, it emerged Jean had lithium poisoning – which confused her as she hadn't been taking her pills.

That forced Kush to own up, saying: "You have been taking them, you just didn't know it. We've been putting them in your food."

Shirley added: "And your tea," while Kush insisted: "We were trying to help."

But seething Jean replied: "Most families try to get their loved-ones off drugs, not on them."

Fans were heartbroken to see Jean so furious, with one viewer tweeting: "Everything Kush has done for the Slaters & this is how Jean repays him by kicking him & 5 kids out on the street really? NOT even her house. Whose supposed to pay the actual rent now? Mo? Hardly #Eastenders (sic)."

A second person posted: "Poor Kush. Poor Jean," while a third added: "Jean has truly lost the plot!"
