Dominic Sherwood teases Shadowhunters final scene and confirms returning faces

‘We literally are all together in this scene,’ he added.

‘There are guest stars that came back from season one and two, actors we haven’t seen in a long time, new and old actors.. basically everyone is in this scene.

‘It was really emotional because there was about 100, 120 of us including the crew in one place and then our AD said “and that’s a wrap on Shadowhunters” and just hearing those words was so strange.’

Dominic – who plays Jace Herondale in the Freeform/Netflix – came back to the set for filming after travelling with co-star Matthew Daddario across Europe during which time he got into a small accident and broke his collarbone.

‘I filmed the two-hour finale with a broken collarbone, it was rough, and no fun!’ he added.

The supernatural drama premiered in 2016 with FreeForm’s largest audience in more than two years and went on to win numerous MTV Fandom, Teen Choice and People’s Choice Awards as well as the coveted GLAAD award for outstanding drama series thanks to its inclusive representation of the LGBTQ communuity.

Despite mixed reaction from critics, the show told stories that resonated deeply with viewers, including battling with sexual identity, racial and ethnic discrimination, and the Other.

However it was cancelled in June 2018 with network Freeform confirming the news in a tweet to fans.

Show runners Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer however told Metro.co.uk that things were going to get epic for fan favourites Magnus Bane and Alec Lightwood.

‘Dark Magnus was something we were going to lean into and Asmodeus was going to be a huge part of season four,’ the showrunners revealed.

‘That was really exciting, and Alec would bring him back from the dark side, that was a story we loved.’

Shadowhunters drops on Netflix every Tuesday at 8am.
