Coronation Street’s Stu Carpenter in danger of losing everything to relative
Coronation Street: Dramatic moment Stu is arrested
Coronation Street’s Stu Carpenter (played by Bill Fellows) has struggled in recent weeks since his granddaughter Eliza Woodrow (Savannah Kunyo) has made contact with her father Dom Everett (Darren Morfitt).
The youngster has been living with her grandfather and his partner, Yasmeen Metcalfe (Shelly King), since November last year after her mum – Stu’s daughter – Bridget Woodrow (Beth Vyse) was sent to prison for murder.
In recent weeks she has been meeting up with Dom against Stu’s wishes and in spoilers released by ITV for next week’s episodes it looks like her relationship with her dad could cost Stu everything.
Stu first learned about Dom when he noticed Eliza had been lying about where she was and overheard a conversation between the pair.

After Stu confronted Dom, he revealed that he simply wanted to get back in touch with his daughter after not seeing her since she was a baby.
Stu felt obligated to tell his daughter about their clandestine meetings and she was left furious begging her father to keep Dom away from Eliza, which led to the youngster refusing to talk to Stu and left Dom furious.
With the situation still hanging over him his week gets off to a bad start when Yasmeen tells him that her grandson Zeedan Nazir (Qasim Akhtar) is planning to take her to Pakistan for her 70th birthday.
She insists that she doesn’t want to leave him while he’s so stressed about the situation with Dom and Eliza.
However, he can’t allow her to miss out on the trip of a lifetime and graciously insists she must go.

Without Yasmeen by his side he attempts to sort out the situation on his own but Dom is one step ahead of him.
He suggests to Stu and his solicitor Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) that they drop the legal proceedings and come to an agreement.
Determined to do what he thinks is best for his granddaughter Stu refuses the offer informing Dom that he’ll see him in court. However, Stu is torn when Dom assures him that he only wants what’s best for Eliza and a chance to get to know his little girl and be a better Dad.
He agrees that he and Eliza will meet Dom in the precinct and when they get there Dom suggests ice cream but makes out he’s forgotten his wallet. This leads Eliza to assure him that Stu will pay because he’s loaded causing Dom’s ears prick up as he appears to spy an opportunity.
Will he take Stu for everything he has or is he being sincere about his intention to be a father to Eliza?
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV and ITVX.
