Coronation Street star reveals heartbreak as Daisy makes a huge 'mess of things'

Coronation Street star Charlotte Jordan has revealed that fans can expect more heartbreak for Daisy Midgeley, who is set to make a ‘mess of things’.

Daisy, as viewers know, has started to fall for Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott), who bravely jumped in the way to protect her earlier this year when stalker Justin Rutherford (Andrew Still) targeted her in an acid attack.

The barmaid, however, is still with Daniel Osborne (Rob Mallard), with the two intent on building a life together and getting married, after their first attempt to walk down the aisle didn’t exactly pan out.

But Charlotte has confirmed that heartbreak is ultimately on the cards for Daisy, who remains conflicted over who she wants to be with.

‘She’s at a point where she loves them both, but she’s very torn,’ the actress told Metro.co.uk on the red carpet of the Inside Soap Awards.

‘She’s very indebted to Ryan but she also knows she’s promised to build a life with Daniel so she’s torn between the two of them – and she deals with it in the worst way possible.

‘She’ll make a nice mess of things and then everyone will be heartbroken!’

Oh dear.

Charlotte, meanwhile, was delighted that Corrie picked up the award for Best Showstopper for the acid attack episode, which aired in March this year

‘It feels fantastic!,’ she said of the victory.

‘I’m really proud of Team Corrie. A lot of people worked really hard on those episodes, so I’m really proud.’
