Coronation Street legend returning to soap after months off screen – and his first scenes are just days away | The Sun
CORONATION Street star Kyran Bowes will return to the cobbles next week after taking time off to focus on his GCSEs.
The young actor, who plays Jack Webster in the soap, hasn't been seen onscreen for months as he concentrated on his studies.
But now he's received his results, and seemingly excelled, it's back to business.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Kyran shared a photo of himself at home being showered in confetti.
He wrote: "Hey all. Sorry for the absence. I took some time away to concentrate on my studies. Happy to say I’m back and even happier to say I passed my GCSEs. Hard work and perseverance really does pay off. Now it’s time to celebrate."
He was inundated with congratulatory comments from fans.

One posted: "BRILLIANT KYRAN many congratulations, and what a marvellous photo. Hope everyone at your house are keeping well."
A second said: "Omg Kyran, you are back so happy to see your tweet, huge congratulations lovely well done, I'm not seeing you on screen either thinking where's our jack. Amazing So happy for you."
A third shared: "Massive Congratulations to you."
Kyran is the fifth person to play Jack and is also the longest-running with 132 episodes to his name.

He took over the role in 2016 from twins Maddox and Jaxon Beswick.
Jack, who is the son of Kevin Webster and the late Molly Dobbs, has been at the heart of some major storylines on the show.
In 2015 he was abducted by Jenny Bradley when she returned to the Street and started dating Kevin.
Traumatised by the death of her own son who drowned when he was four, Jenny took Jack to Hull and contemplated jumping off a balcony with him before eventually returning him to Kevin.
Then in 2018, Jack developed sepsis and lost his leg.
The soap used Hollywood style green-screen technology to digitally erase Jack's lower leg with the use of a special sock.
