Coronation Street confirms return just a month after exit
Max Turner (Paddy Bever) is in for quite the surprise in Coronation Street as his ex-girlfriend Lauren (Cait Fitton) returns.
Max met Lauren during the storyline involving Griff (Michael Condron), which saw him groom and manipulate Max into joining a right-wing extremism gang.
It was spending time at Griff’s flat that saw Max meet Lauren for the first time, who’s dad was also a member of the gang.
Just like Max, Lauren had the same racist views as the other gang members but when the police intervened and the group was destroyed, she left Weatherfield to spend time with her mum in Cornwall, convinced she’d be safer there.

Before Max can deal with Lauren, he has to face Gav (Noah Olaoye), who is released from the STC in upcoming episodes.
When Max reveals that Bec has moved on and she’s going out with him now, Gav ends up grabbing Max in a state of rage.
In the week, Max is shocked when Lauren approaches and reveals that she fell out with her mum, doesn’t want anything to do with her dad and spent last night kipping at the bus station.
Feeling sorry for her, Max takes Lauren to the café, but where will things lead?
‘I would like to see him find love with someone who has good intentions for him, with someone who is not going to bring about danger for him,’ Paddy Bever told us, discussing Max’s love life.
‘I’d like to see him find love with someone who can weather the storms with him rather than creating them.’
Will Max find himself caught between Lauren and Bec, or will she end up reuniting with Gav after all?
