Celebs Go Dating fans devastated for teary Ulrika Jonsson after date, 31, friendzones her

Celebs Go Dating fans were left devastated for teary Ulrika Jonsson on Monday night after her date Jad, 31, asked to be friends.

Only recently on the E4 dating series, the presenter, 54, has enjoyed a string of dates with Jad, where they flirted up a storm.

During the latest instalment, Ulrika prepared to ask Jad on a minibreak during their third date as she really "cared" about him and even planned for her best friend Laura to meet him to see what she thinks.

As Ulrika mentioned the minibreak, Jad quickly interrupted with: "So… you mentioned this minibreak… I was going to say, just to jump the gun, I like where we've come from, we've got to know each other, but… in case you were thinking of inviting me, do you feel like there's something missing?"

With a stunned Ulrika replying: "Like what?" to which Jad continued: "Just a little spark between us, like I'm being honest. We've got along as great friends but I feel like we've become good friends and I like it where it is."

Narrator Rob Beckett then exclaimed: "Not the friendzone, the worst of all the zones!"

With Ulrika: "I mean, I feel really, really comfortable around you and I definitely feel an attraction there, I'm not going to lie! I can't fault it, I've had three lovely dates with you and I've really enjoyed them. What I value above anything else is honesty… so that's really nice."

The duo then hugged it out as Ulrika's best friend and "rock", Laura, showed up and joked: "So where is he? Was he not ready for me?"

To which Ulrika replied: "No, he was not ready for you and I don't think he was ready for me either" as she explained what had happened.

Giving her support, Laura sweetly said: "Well, as your bestie, I will say it's his loss! There is someone out there for you, he is not that person and you will be okay.

"You have the biggest heart in the world and you are deserving of the same love that you give out, and until someone is capable of doing that, you shouldn't ever settle for anything other than that.

"Until then, I'm just going to keep on loving you. Don't ever sell yourself short because you feel that you have to. Don't cry, you'll make me cry."

Ulrika then got teary as she admitted: "Ah, I was not expecting this!" with Laura adding: "Let's go drink, have cuddles and cry!"

Taking to Twitter, viewers were left devastated for Ulrika as they shared their love for the upset TV star.
