Caitlyn Jenner 'wants the best' for Kanye West: 'He's got a good heart'
Caitlyn Jenner has sent her support to Kanye West amid concerns about his recent behaviour.
The reality TV star appeared on Good Morning Britain on Monday where she was asked if the rapper was getting ‘support’, following a worrying appearance at a recent rally as well as a series of erratic tweets.
It followed Caitlyn’s previous comment about wanting to put herself forward as Kanye’s vice president as he makes his bid for the White House.
She told hosts Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway: ‘Since all of this has come down, I have just kind of watched it just like everybody else, so I haven’t really had a chance. He’s living up in Wyoming, most of the time, and so I just wish him the best.’
‘You know I made that as a joke at the time, about being his VP when he announced that. But, you know, I hope for the best for him.
‘He’s a really good guy. The only thing I really can talk about is really how he has treated me through everything. And he has been the most kind, loving human being.’
Caitlyn continued: ‘And so good to me throughout the years, and especially going through everything I’ve been through in the last five years.
‘He’s been such a good friend, and that to me is by far the most important thing. As far as support.’
Kanye’s appearance at his rally in South Carolina last month saw him break down in tears as he claimed to the crowd that he and wife Kim Kardashian had planned to abort their seven-year-old daughter North.
He also claimed on Twitter that he wanted to divorce Kim, who he shares four children with, over an alleged meeting she had with rapper Meek Mill at the Waldorf Hotel.
The Golddigger rapper recently reassured fans he is ‘quite alright’.
He tweeted: ‘There is a tactic of 4 D’s… Distract Discredit Dismiss To Destroy… I am quite alright… Take a second and think about what is being projected here.’
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
