Bond 25 sees Léa Seydoux return with Ben Whishaw, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris
Bond 25 continues to gather pace as it has been announced that previous "Bond girl" Léa Seydoux will reprise her role as Dr. Madeleine Swann.
Seydoux’s character was last seen driving off with Daniel Craig’s James Bond in the Aston Martin DB5 at the end of SPECTRE, with Bond seemingly retiring to be with his new love interest.
Swann was the daughter of recurring villain Mr. White (Jesper Christensen), an agent of SPECTRE, who Bond saved from classic villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld (Christoph Waltz).
The Daily Mail confirmed her involvement with director Cary Joji Fukunaga, with Craig apparently keen on her to make a comeback.
Fukunaga also confirmed the likely returns of MI6 regulars Ralph Fiennes as M, Ben Whishaw as Q and Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny.
"You have some of the best actors in the world here. Why wouldn’t I have the best coming back?"
The news that the film will continue directly from SPECTRE comes after Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle stepped away from the project due to creative differences with producers and Craig.
Reports differed between disagreements about themes, villains, and castings, but the exact issue has yet to be confirmed.
Previous rumours of an initial script involving Seydoux’s character that Boyle rejected saw Bond on a personal vendetta once more after her character was killed off in the opening scenes.
Will Swann make it out alive in Fukunaga’s vision?
Fukunaga also hinted recently that Waltz could also return as SPECTRE boss Blofeld in his film.
